Jewelry Care

Purchasing a Dyadema jewel is a timeless investment. Taking care of it is a simple yet important way to keep it bright and beautiful for longer.

01

Take care of your jewelry

All our jewelry has been treated using a technique that helps prevent loss of shine. However, it is still important to follow our care recommendations to help preserve it over time, especially when it is exposed to the open air for prolonged periods.

Please remember that loss of shine, tarnishing and oxidation are natural processes. A special professional cleaning can restore the jewelry and bring back its original brilliance.

01

When to remove them

Remove all jewelry before going to sleep, taking a shower or taking part in physical activities.

02

Substances and environments

Avoid exposure to chemicals or environments that could affect the integrity of your jewelry, such as perspiration, perfumes, cleaning products, chlorine, salt water, silver polishing products and detergents in general.

03

How to store them

Store them in containers that protect them from light and external agents and, whenever possible, keep them separate to prevent contact that could cause scratches or other accidental damage.

02

How to clean your jewelry

If you would like to clean your jewelry, here are some useful tips for doing so at home. Remember that periodic professional cleaning with specific equipment is recommended to help restore your jewelry to its best condition. In the meantime:

01 Gold jewelry
Use warm water and a mild neutral soap. Soak the jewelry and clean it gently with a soft-bristled toothbrush to reach areas where dirt or dust may have accumulated. Finally, pat it dry with a soft, lint-free cloth. If a white-gold piece has lost its rhodium plating and has begun to yellow, take it to your trusted jeweler to have the item rhodium-plated again.
02 Silver jewelry
Use lukewarm water with a mild neutral soap or baking soda. Gently clean the jewelry with a soft-bristled toothbrush and pat it dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
03 Jewelry with diamonds
Use warm water (lukewarm for colored stones) and a mild neutral soap. Clean very gently using soft, linear movements. Finally, pat the jewelry dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
04 Jewelry with pearls
Pearls require particular care and attention. Simply use a soft dry or slightly damp cloth and gently wipe the surface of each pearl. We also recommend having pearl strands restrung regularly by your trusted jeweler, as prolonged wear and perspiration can soil and weaken the thread.
05 Earring bows and pom-poms
During wear, earring bows and pom-poms may come into contact with foundation and make-up and become soiled. They can be cleaned using cotton with a gentle cleansing milk, rubbing very softly until clean. We recommend cleaning them regularly so that dirt does not build up and become more difficult to remove.
