Ecosustainability
Never Too Late
An integral part of our journey has been our sensitivity toward the world around us. In fact, we have converted the majority of the boxes used for packaging to FSC-certified paper; to date, our packaging features over 50 variants that utilize, in addition to traditional materials, some alternative materials such as citrus residues like mandarins and oranges and materials made from Venetian algae.
Through a unique production process, the use of this specific material helps preserve the fragile ecosystem of the nearby Venice lagoon; furthermore, this ethical choice helps combat deforestation and exploitation in sensitive areas of the planet, while benefiting efforts to clean up the lagoon area affected by the infestation of these algae.
For our packaging, we also use paper made from agro-industrial by-products (citrus fruits, coconuts, cocoa, grapes, kiwi, etc.), replacing up to 15% of cellulose derived from trees; the remaining material consists of 40% post-consumer recycled fiber and cellulose from responsibly managed forests.
Regarding the production of our items, the materials used (silver, gold, etc.) have a management system for the qualification of metal supply in order to avoid sourcing from conflict-affected or high-risk areas.
Dyadema has a constant vision towards the future and for this reason is working towards a prevalent use of metals (in particular silver) sourced from recycling, thereby containing mining procurement and replacing it with more sustainable sources.
